Visiting our website

Our website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd., Tel Aviv, Israel. We have a data processing agreement with this company. In order to access the website, your browser may transmit personal data (such as your IP address) to Wix.com. Your personal data is processed for the purpose of maintaining the functionality of the servers. We do not use any cookies on our website.

Feedback and bug reports

When playing Crystalis Descendant, you may choose to report a bug and/or send us feedback using our form. This helps us make a better game and address issues.

If you choose to send us a report, we will collect the data you voluntarily provide, such as save file, game screenshot, text description. We will also collect your game installation ID as well as a timestamp and game build version. We use those to filter reports, and approximately determine whether any two reports come from the same person, or from multiple people.

Crash reports

When playing Crystalis Descendant, if the game encounters a problem or crashes, it will attempt to collect data to help us troubleshoot and fix what went wrong. If you agree to send us the report, we will collect the following data:

  • Operating system

    • Name and version

    • (Linux only) Kernel version and build date

  • Hardware

    • Processor and memory

    • Graphics cards along with their drivers and capabilities

    • Monitors along with their display modes

  • Play session

    • Save file

    • Game screenshot

    • Time-stamped gameplay event log

    • Keyboard, mouse and gamepad inputs

  • Game installation ID (see “Feedback and bug reports”)

  • Technical details in the "minidump" format

    • It's a small file that helps us understand why the game crashed

    • It contains basic information about the state of the game when it crashed, such as:

      • The part of the game code that was running at the time

      • A small portion of the game's memory

      • Details about the error that occurred

      • (Linux only) Parts of the execution environment, including variables and paths

  • In case of a graphics crash: internal state of the graphics card; vendor-specific:

    • NVIDIA: Nsight Aftermath data

      • A dump file containing technical details of what the graphics card was doing when it crashed

      • Information mapping the crash to the graphics program(s) (shader(s)) in which the fault happened
